Anybody tried QEMU ?

It is a rapsberry pi emulator for windows.

I am looking for a cross os development tool.
Since my windows pc is much faster than a raspberry pi and i like a standard way of working and making programs on my pc, i am looking for various solution. I decided i will make use of a cross compiler. I prefer to develop under windows directly or in a virtual machine with a linux distribution running optimized for raspberry pi development.

I still have to look into what my best option is.

I prefer to develop on my pc and copy the executable to the raspbery pi and execute it there.
Anyway, this program seems also like a good possible solution running a rapsberry emulator and develop on the emulator.

Raspberry pi 3 is what i will be working with in the near future .
