It's pretty nice, but the big market teams can get bogged down (Friend likes the Yankees). IE too many people streaming the game. But this was 2-3 years ago, they may have upgraded since then.

I used to when I lived in Montreal. Their program was a huge pain in the ass. About 50% of the time, they thought I was still in-market for games, so they wouldn't let me watch. The only way I could prove to them I wasn't was by giving them a land-line number they could call me at. Considering I only had a cell phone at the time, I was blacked out of 50% of the games I wanted to watch.

The quality itself was pretty good, but I found the streaming to be inconsistent.

you can usually avoid this with a proxy, I've done it in the past during those damn fox saturday blackouts for the US

I have mlb.tv premium and love it. The interface has gotten better (i had it last in 2007 and the mosaic or whtaever never really worked). I have some issues with streaming from time to time, just hiccups and it might also be on my end from bandwidth.

I would google search for MLB.TV blackout map for 2009 and look at what's blacked out in your area. It looks like parts of penn are Blacked out from nym nyy pit and phi so if you're in that zone it might not be worth it. Getting around blackout via proxy isn't bad, but it sucks having to look for a free proxy that puts you in (insert non blackout nation of choice) for the games.

For me all I get blackout is the padres (pffbt) and since I'm a giants fan and have Cable I can pretty much every game they play... and every other game not nationally blacked out or featuring the padres.
