Our beacon of truth in the night, Ray Taliaferro, says it's all over for Bush, that he may not yet know it but he's going down. He's had thirty years of political radio experience and he' says stick a fork in him, he's done. Says that it's just like Watergate but the lying didn't cause the deaths of thousands of Iraqis and hundreds of American casualties and a hundred plus deaths with more day by day.

I wonder if he's right.

Many in the American Public don't give a damn. Why? Because WMD's only have a "shelf life", for lack of a better term, of a couple years. Many Americans probably would say they feel safer that IF there were WMD's being distributed/manufactured, they could now sleep better at night knowing that IF this process was happening it has now been terminated. And in 2-3 years the WMD's, IF they exist, would not be a threat.

Preemptively striking solely because of WMD's is the argument. I don't think the administration claimed this was the SOLE REASON for invading, hence their ticket out.
