THAT guy
I live in Massachusetts, north of Boston and want to go skiing preferably in NH, but being this will be first time hitting the slopes this season, will also consider Maine and Vermont as well. I'm checking snow reports and weather forecasts, but anybody know "where the good skiing is at"?

Me Southern Vermont.
We were just commenting how in the valley where I live not one speck of snow has fallen, and there has only been one day where the temps have stayed below freezing all day.

I live on the NH seacoast, and its ~40 degrees today. No snow. No cold. Nothing.

Almost feels like I'm back in Va.

Okemo tomorrow. Only 15 trails open and I don't particularly like the place but tickets were free so I can't complain. Riding last season's board so the exposed rocks don't shred my new one the first trip.

Ughh...thats what I was worrying about. I got my skis polished and sharpened close to the end of last season. It kinda feels like it is too early for skiing still but Im still hopeful I can find somewhere to go by tonight. NT buddies drove up to Killington, the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and there was pretty decent snow over there... Just not sure I want to drive all the way up there

I did some early season snowboarding at Mr. Baker in Washington. I ran over some trees but thankfully didn't mess up my board too much. I wish I could ski at Utah and Colorado for some drier snow.

However, snowboarding at the snowiest place in the world can be pretty sweet. There's nothing quite like plowing through 3 feet of snow that's fallen overnight. The scenery at Mt. Baker is unbeatable in the continental US.
