But I am telling her -- anything you pay up-front for must be a scam. Anyone know any reputable sites for this sort of thing?

I signed up for one a long time ago, they would email me with offers in my area, i never ended up doing one, but they didnt quite seem worth the time.

I looked into being a mystery shopper, but given the site's statements that there was a lot of demand in my area (relatively rural... I'm in the "big city" - 15k people) it sounded a little fishy to me... I figured there might be a small amount of demand, but not much.
