It's a computer movie because they'll be in multiple theatres, a "cluster" of movie theatres in multiple chains..

The closest thing I've seen to "real" hacking movie is "Anti-Trust".

Close second is "Swordfish"

Although Swordfish does have some rather unrealistic parts.

I remember they got a 486 laptop or something, spray painted it, hooked up the old 14.4k modem, and proceed to "Hack a Gibson"...They also hung out in that underground place with skateboarders and stuff drinking Jolt cola. At the time that was probably pretty cutting edge, now it just seems so lame.

My personal favorite was "Lawnmower Man"...
