Man that was an awesome movie, one particular song caught my eye and that was "Read steady go" by paul oakenfold, man, great movie. So if you saw the movie, what was your take on it?

i like it. but then again i generally enjoy michael mann movies because he has the great ability to make such a cool bad guy that at times you might even find yourself rooting for him.

a lot of people felt underwhelmed by the ending, but im indifferent to it. sure you have to suspend belief for a moment, but im not going to knock a whole solid movie just because the last 5 minutes didnt live up to some grand expectations. i mean, i like the movie enough that i can accept it, same way with 'heat' which is one of my all-tme favorite movies.

If you get the chance, watch the bonus footage. It was amazing what Mann does to get his actors into character. They created a history for Cruises character all the way back to when he was two and Cruise learned every bit of it even though it's not even mentioned in the movie. That attention to detail is what makes the characters so real and easy to relate to in one way or another.

Not a fan of cruise much anymore, but he did awesome work acting in that flick. My favorite scene was the quick draw scene on the punks who stole his breifcase.

Mann is my fav director. So Collateral and Heat is way way waay up there on my list 🙂

It was hilarious to see them go thru korean section of LA and the club being a korean club, there were some hilarious lines and signs 🙂

attention to detail is amazing.

I like the cinematography in Mann's movies. Collateral was good, except for the ending which was sort of a disappointment.

I didn't like the outcome in Heat either, but both movies still ended well regardless.

this movie was really great, i think i'm gonna get it on dvd. i was sad at the end of the movie because max had to do what he did to his only friend vincent

I like how Mann creates his films.

Its not just an action flick. Its more of a drama. Its hard not to be absorbed with the mood that he creates. And he doesnt take audience lightly, he actually respects audience. I really appreciate that.

My recent favorite movies include.. Twilight Samurai, Broken flowers..
