Anybody Running a 1GHz on a A7V

I was at the AMD web site, and they only recommended the A7V for speeds up to 900MHz. Anybody have a idea why? And if you are running a 1GHZ do you have any problems?

my 650 only does 850... but i have two more 600's coming in... hopefully they will be better overclockers:D

with any luck they both will be and i can sell the 650@850 and a 600@900+... then i might even end up spending like $5 on my cpu!

Mine will post at 1Ghz, but is only stable at 950. I keep it at 900. I think your coolers are better than mine. I routinely see 50+.

Wow. I didn't know anyone was getting 1Ghz out of the Duron! I feel so inadequate now. :(

they do have it working, but there is probably some sort of small electrical thing on it that isn't within spec or something. And well it can't be because the 1ghz wasn't out since, it was out at launch, all the other boards can do a gig certified. I think they need to have a 20% margin of error for extreme cases so like a board certified for 900 can probably still run a 1000 , but they aren't going to tell like compaq or HP that that is "certified" without making modifications .

The 1 gig TBIRD was not approved by AMD on the ASUS A7V because of instability problems.
AMD has stated that a bios update may resolve the problem.
