Anybody rounded the cable for the Live Drive for SBL Platiumn

just wanted to see if there were any troubles with it, or just was it just as easy or regular cables. Afraid to take the chance, just wanted to see some results before taking the risk !!!!!!!!!!!

it should be much easier than a ATA33, since it got less wires and is softer.

however, if you screwed up, its kinda hard to get replacements... weight your risk.

I rounded mine with some electrical tape and it works fine. I think the data cable is actually an ATA33 cable with a missing pin. I won't be the one to find out though.

I purchased an ATA100 rounded cable and a rounded floppy one - that BOTH DIDN'T WORK.
I like the standard ones, but I do understand the benefits of rounded.

The Benefit of a rounded cable is for air flow purpose, when you round the cable you get a small cable instead of a flat wide cable that prevent good air flow, The Sb 5.1 cable is similar to ata 66 but not the same.
