I'm possibly doing the Six Gap Century next month.

The Dahlonega/Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and the Bicycle Association of North Georgia (BANG) are proud to sponsor the Six Gap Century and Three Gap Fifty bike rides through the mountains. These challenging rides ascend and descend three or six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains. The Six Gap Century ride is 100 miles with over 10,700 feet of vertical climbing. The toughest climb is Hogpen Gap. The Hogpen Gap climb averages 7% for 7 miles, with sections as steep as 15%. In 1998 we added a three gap, 50 mile alternative to the century. Plan to be a part of this year's ride the last Sunday in September!

Sounds like fun, no? ;)

It would take me a month of Sundays to get back into form enough for Fausto's race :Q

Yeah! That sounds like fun :) But, only if there are a lot of people doing it... it gets boring when you show up and discover there are only 4 or 5 century riders and all the others opted for 50 mile or shorter routes.

No risk of that in the NYC Century. :)
