Back in the day EGM had this article about this mirror device you put the TV in the middle of and it split the screens into 4's.

Each person sat on a respective side and wasn't able to see the other person in where they were at. This brought new life to the game, now with system links with Xbox's and the internet there isn't a huge demand for them anymore...

I'd like to know what that product was called if anybody remembers what I'm talking about.

I think it cost about 50 bucks back in the day....

I had a bunch of hardcore players that did Winback/Goldeneye/Perfect Dark/Mario Kart 64 battle mode ;)

Do you really need a special mirror to do this? I made my own similar device out of cardboard back when we were playing goldeneye on N64.

Unfortunately no, I don't. I think my parents threw it out a few years ago. Basically it was several pieces of cardboard tied together with very thin but strong pieces of rope. Back when I made it, we were playing on a standard TV, so I had to cut the cardboard to match the contour of the TV screen ;)
