Anybody paint their drives?

I have a black Antex SOHO case (SX1040B). Unfortunately, my CDRW and DVD are beige. Has anyone successfully painted their drive doors? So that it looks acceptable?

I have a cover, so in one sense it's not a big deal. But I'm thinking that someday I may want a clear cover (maybe for IR or to observe a temp monitor, or maybe just to look cool). Has anyone ever had a smoked glass door replacement made to fit into their case? How'd you go about getting that done?

lots of people paint them. i've never tried myself, though.

I painted mine with a outdoor black spray paint because I liked the finish. I didn't want a gloss finish. I have heard alot of people using Vinl Dye for there face plates. You can get it at any auto store.
