I'm looking around for an inexpensive dvd player, and I came across this one at Amazon's site. I was looking at the Pioneer dv343 on sale for about the same price ($140), when I checked out this model.
It is a progressive scan model, which isn't a huge deal to me, but it does have a built in dolby digital decoder, which actually makes a difference, since my receiver is DD ready (no decoder built in, but has the rca inputs). This would enhance the dvd experience quite a bit over the 2 channel Dolby Surround I can assume.
I was figuring I would maybe do the Pioneer, since it's at the high end of my (cheap) price range, but the Apex is there with better features.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
