The older APC were rock solid but some of there newer stuff isn't that good. Smaller batteries, overstated run times, buggy operation.
I just picked up a Cyberpower on clearance table. I normally don't buy them, I will say the software is kinda nice.
Their SUA series are still top notch. The cheaper ones are not the same.
I'll never own Cyberpower again, they are junk. My experience:
Cyberpower 1200VA runtime = 7 minutes when new.
APC SUA 750 (750VA) runtime = 107 minutes.
Monitors and network equipment are on a separate UPS, an APC Back-UPS 600VA bought new in 1999. It's had the batteries replaced a few times of course. No idea how long that will run, with such a small load it goes for hours.
The Cyberpower died in less than a year. Not the battrey, it would just no longer turn on.
