anybody overclock their laptop using softFSB

wrong forum, but why would you want to overclock your laptop using SOFTFSB? Don't know if its possible, but it already generates enough heat as it is 🙂

I doubt heat would be a problem with my.. watercooled laptop!! 😀 no really if it were something like a 700e it shouldn't get THAT much hotter, BUT that's with desktop cpus, I dont know if they work the same way with mobile cpus.

I tried using SoftFSB on a few laptops, and I wasn't able to get it to work. it would instantly carsh the computer. However, SoftFSB has support for certain IBM thinkpad laptops, so it is possible.

I don't think heat will be too much of a problem for small overclocks. At least I think that an 800 Mhz laptop has the same cooling as a 700 MHz laptop.
