I figured I might as well see if i could improve my Counter-strike experience via oc'ing my card. It's a Visiontek Geforce 2 GTS 32mb. I'm running win2k and the 12.41 drivers, so i copied over cpl.dll and nvqtwk.dll from the 12.40 drivers to my winnt/system32 folder and applied the coolbits reg hack to get coolbits unlocked.
The defaults for this card are 200/333. I know that overclocking the ram is much more important. I was wondering what speeds I should expect to top out at. I played cs for hours @ 200/348 and it was fine. I just upped it to 220/370 now to see if it could take it. I don't want to up by 5mhz increments cuz that will take forever. If you've oc'ed a similar card, let me know what end results I can expect. Should I bother oc'ing the Core?
200/348: stable
220/370: bsod
Also, i am acquiring a tennmax hsf taken from a radeon in a trade. How do I put it on? Where can I buy heatsinks and thermal paste for the ram?
