Anybody order a tmobile phone through amazon WITH number portability?

How do you order it? they ask you for the plan when you place the order, will the phone be activated when you receive it or can you call tmobile and transfer the number after you receive the phone?

After you have your t-mobile account set up properly, have received the phone, and can make calls, call t-mobile's customer care and initiate a number-transfer. That's the only "safe" way to do it. Trust me, I used to work for them.

When I received my Tmobile phone, I called customer service, and asked them to do the transfer. No trouble at all

I love T-mobile customer service, 3-4 times I needed help, they were really helpful & quick.
