Anybody open a new game to find there's no disc?

So I just bought Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes from Amazon cause it was on sale for $10, and when I opened it up, there's no freaking disc in the case (the game was shrink-wrapped).

Am I daft and there is supposed to be some code to unlock the game on PSN or something? Or do I just need to give Amazon a call here?

I've never had this happen to me before and was just curious how many of you have had it happen.

Happened to me once. Virgin music store. Thankfully i had opened the package as i was leaving the store so i couldnt really have the time to take the disc. No problem getting a new one but ever since then i always open the box before i leave the store.

I've never had it happen to me but I always check before I leave as well.

I once bought a used copy of Ratchet & Clank: Crack in Time from Gamestop. Got it home and the guy had put Tools of Destruction in the box. It happens. Just took it back and exchanged it. As long as it's an exchange, stores don't mind.

Same here but only because I heard a news story about a couple who bought a $1000 camcorder from Best Buy and claimed when they opened it at home it contained a jar of pasta sauce. Of course, Best Buy couldn't verify their claim and told them too bad. The sauce was, interestingly enough, the same weight as the camcorder.

edit: now that I think about it when I purchased Shenmue 2, I opened it and found disc 3 and the passport disc for Shenmue in the box. Someone had returned it with discs that looked similar enough to get a refund. I don't know why they would though, because Shenmue was so much better than Shenmue 2.

Not with a game, but I purchased a new cd through Amazon and it came with a disc. Had to happen at the packaging company since it was a release day delivery. I emailed Amazon and they said a new cd would mailed overnight.

I bought a copy of LotR online and the coupon with code on it was missing.

I mean - come one. What kind of a retarded system is that, putting the code on a loose piece of paper. Why not imprint the manual or disc?

Unfortunately I had bought it at a store while I was traveling so I couldn't return it. Luckily it was pretty cheap.

I bought a GBA game from Best Buy that was missing the cartridge. Fortunately, I had my brother open the box up while we were still in the parking lot. Went back and they exchanged it for another one. I've always opened games asap since then.

I bought Battlefield 2 back in the day and it had two Disc 1's. it was pretty interesting. Took it back and EBgames gave me another copy.

A few years back, a friend bought a cheap $20 game from Best Buy, new and shrink wrapped. When he got it home, there was no disc inside. He called and talked to a manager and they told him to bring it back in and they'd exchange it. Probably helped that it was a cheap game, but they didn't give him any trouble. If it were a new $60 game, though, I wouldn't like my chances.

Happened to me at BB once. Got to the car and realized it had a slit in the top, sure enough someone had cut into it and taken the disc out. Went back inside and went back to the game section one of the BB employees to see if it was wide spread. Sure enough, many games that were in the $29.99 range and had no security case had been cut into.

yep, at bestbuy. found out on the drive home, so i turned the car around went back to the store and had complainted to their customer rep. I got some free stuff after that...
