19x12 on a 15 inch would be too small for me. (I use 19x12 on a 24") And adjusting font size is never perfect...

Go with 1440x900, it'll be plenty. And if you do serious photoshop work, get a 24" monitor.

I'd agree with the others about 1920 being too high on a 15.4" for desktop work, but I'm sure it'd be splendid for gaming/movies. Its too bad they don't offer 1680x1050; its what I run on my Dell E1505 and its just about perfect for 15.4". 1920 for a 24" desktop can be small too, depends on your eyesight I suppose but text is certainly smaller than 22" WS or 19" standard.

i've got 1920x1200 on a 24" LG 246wp and its fantastic as well as a dell d810 17" notebook.

On the notebook I'd say its pretyt much bordering on too high res. It allright, and I don't have terrible eyes or anything plus the added resolution is nice, but I can't see 15.4" 1920x1200 as all that good. I'd say 1920x1200 on a 17" is already bordering on "toosmall" but on a 15.4 it probably definitely would be.

I'm not a gamer or anything, but for text and programming its really nice. though you might regret it on a 15.4"
