Anybody made a REAL hot deal lately? (retail -> ebay)

my friend used to buy satellite receivers from kmart for 50$ and sold them for 100$+ on ebay. he sold 12 of them.. or atleast thats what he told me

other people said Best Buys is selling Nokia 8265s for 50$ out the door (with no contract commitment) and they're fetching 120$ on ebay

Yeah, when Dell was selling WD1200JBs for half price eBay was flooded in a matter of hours. Are people that hard up for cash?

While not recently, but I did buy a Dreamcast broadband adapter for $60 when it came out. When PSO v2.0 rolled around, I sold it on ebay for $160.

Just last week I bought 2 Maxtor 80GB 1394 External HDs for $70 a piece. They arrived today. These puppies go for $150+ on eBay. I'm thinking whether I should keep 'em or sell 'em.

I am out of this game now, everytime a hotdeal is posted, dumbasses would rush and dump it all on ebay at the same time. Do these people not know how microeconomics works? when you supply more than the demand, the prices goes down, sometimes to the point where the new equlibrium price on ebay wont allow your to make a dime.

i always wait a couple of months to wait for the flood to cool down, and sell my same items one at a time so i wont flood the market myself which would have resulted me competing against myself.

Exactly...although I wont' give any of my ebay tips...or even any of my deals🙂
