spouse got a in a ph.D program in LSU, so there is potential that we might move there. Anybody have any experiences or thoughts of living there? did some google, and not a lot of information was given. Not really famous for anything positive. crime rate is 2x the nat'l average.

what about jobs? what can I do? currently making 50k in OK, so would like something comparable. education is math, but career is in insurance. Any big companies in LA?
