I dont get this? i have a DDR mobo set to 133FSB

CPUID reports 265.54 with a 10.5 multiplyer

my 3d mark 2001 score was 3400 i was browsing th online result browser and other people with the same setup ( different motherboard chipsets) as me are getting in the 5000=5500 ++ range

I believe it is related to your motherboard and the application. I have seen others bring up that issue.

i think its the drivers. people with the same setup with windows ME or 98 have much better scores. I hope it drivers

Let me take a wild guess and say your using the ECS K7S5A motherboard based on the SiS735 chipset correct?

If this is indeed the case then there isnt a hell of a lot you can do about the 'issue' There is a well known bug in 3DMark2001 that causes it to mis-detect the FSB under certain situations. Something about the K7S5A board seems to birng about this bug in in 3DM2001 consistently, irregardless of what FSB settings your actuualy running the vast majority of the time 3DM2001 will say your running 66MHz FSB with the K7S5A.

It's just a bug in the software, nothing to be worried about. It won't impact your score at all, and it's not detecting your FSB correctly.
Ignore it.

There are MANY bugs in 3DM's detection of the FSB/clockspeed.
Hell, I can get 3DM2001 to detect my processor as running at 1.8MHz at times. 😉

thanks Rand,

you made me feel better. I know I chezed out with my mobo when i payd 57$, but hey I had to take the chance for 57$ 🙂

what you said made alot of sense.

thanks
