Anybody know where you can find GameCube-sized DVD discs?

It just occured to me that somebody out there has to make them. I have a spindle of mini CDs but I have no idea where to find mini DVDs. Any ideas?

Actually I don't think anyone does make Gamecube-sized DVD discs since the Gamecube itself does not use the regular DVD format. Planning on being a pIrAtE? 😉

Yeah they sell them for those DVD-R videocameras.
Check Good Guys or any place that sells DVD Media, like allmediaoutlet.

Kind of expensive though.

AFAIK, you can't copy Gamecube games anyway. Some group just figured out how to rip them but the burning part is still a no go.

man, if i could get an mp3 player that could play those i would be set

1.5 GB of mp3's at alt-preset extreme ~ 300 songs 😀

I saw some 8cm DVD discs before online, i don't remember the site but it was some little media shop online.

Well the thought had crossed my mind, but mostly I was interested in them because I have some kind of fetish for all manner of small storage media.

On a related note, does anybody know of somewhere you can find mini flip-style cases for these size discs? At 1.5 gigs each you could carry a lot of stuff in a -- dare I say it -- cute little case.

If you don't find custom miniCD cases, I'd bet you can easily find something that was designed for 3.5" floppies.

Good call! Hadn't thought of that. Anybody know of flip-style cases for 3½"?

Those holes are a little too small to stick anything through, unless you're "size challenged". :Q 😉 😀

Yeah...that's because the GCN reads them from the outside in, whereas computers read and burn from the inside circle out.

Ahhh... well then I imagine it's going to be something incredibly complex like had to be done with Bleem! back in the day. (CDRWin at 1x rip, odd settings for error correction, then convert between two image types, so on and so forth) But great call on Nintendo's part... just too bad their player won't let us put in mini mp3 CDs and such and play them. :/

Nintendo makes one for the GameCube. I think it only holds about 12 discs, plus it says "NINTENDO GAMECUBE" on it.
