This is strange... My computer seemed slow, as if aasleep, so I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del, and it suddenly became responsive again... and in the Task Manager I see this wÅauboot.exe

No Google search results on this thing... No alltheweb results either, but a mamma search returned this thread:

http://www.ahfb2000.com/webmaster_help_desk/showthread.php?threadid=2296

The thing is I don't have ZoneAlarm, never used the damn thing. I have Kerio as software, and I'm behind a router.

Can anyone figure this one out?

What is the elusive wÅauboot.exe process?

Which directory does the file physically exist in and what are its attributes? Have you updated your virus definitions and scanned it? The first thing I would think it to be is spyware, second a trojan as they both have a tendancy to generate a random name and run at startup. Anything legit or somewhat common would give you tons of search hits from people posting hijackthis logs.

I scanned my machine with five antivirus programs so far, out of which two were web-based (Trend Micro and CA Antivirus)... I ran all the spyware detectors I can think of. Nothing. At this point, if it's a trojan, it's one that cannot be detected by AVG, Norton, F-Prot or the other two already mentioned. Statistically, the chance is so small, it's negligible. So what the heck is wÅauboot.exe ?
