have a dell p4 2.8 with 533fsb laptop gets too hot to play games for a long time and just really slows down. it has one tiny fan and heatsink inthe back right corner. Does anyone know if those laptop coolers work well, or i could get a quieter desk fan and point it at the laptop

Also is tehre a temp monitor program that works with dells

I've used this in sager 8890's, 5680's (same thing as the alienware notebooks but $800 less) and several other notebooks that get hot. This thing is THE best. I've used a lot of other laptop coolers around and many are made of plastic and I feel like im going to break them. THis has an on off switch for the fans, and it helps keep it cool even without the fans running. Not to mention on a desk it puts your laptop at a slight angle which for me makes it better to type.

as far as where to get them i went to a computer show when i needed to buy a few other things a year or two ago and got 3 of them...if you go just to get this its better to get online considering it costs like $7 to get into the damn show nowadays anyways. no idea wher to find them online...google.
