Anybody know offhand when they will stop taking orders on 2002 Camaros

My uncle just bought one (Z28). He said he wanted a SS, but they had stopped production already & the Z28 is all the dealer could find.

<< So, the only thing left is in dealer lots? >>

I'm pretty sure that with what he was saying only meant that the SS is no longer in production. I would definitly go talk to a dealer soon either way though, as I'm sure they won't be around long.

Well I talked to the dealer today and the time has passed to order a camaro. Hard to believe because everything I have read said the line was shutting down in "the fall".

I can still find one on the lots, just not maybe in exactly the trim I want. The bad part is I get a GM discount of 18% off MSRP, or 5% off my best deal off the lots. Usually this is pretty close to one another, however with them getting scarce my 5% won't come close to the 18% I would have gotten off an order.

This for my wife anyway so I was kinda looking for a red Z28 with auto and traction control(don't want to get the little money maker killed).

Time will tell. My guess is a four year hiatus, with a retro camaro(think t-bird, mach I). It'll take GM a couple of years to ramp up even if the decision was already made.

Come to think of it I have a mole in Cadilac engineering where I can get some early info. I'll have to ask.
