Anybody know, off hand, what MB is in a HP 8660c?

And if the BIOS will support a 40 GB HDD?

My cousin's computer had a major meltdown and I have to fix it. (See thread; "Big problems! Can a bad DSL connection cause this?" in the "Networking" folder.

OK, 86 the last question. It's an ASUS MEW-AM with an Intel 810E chipset but I could still use some help. ASUS, apparently, has a new website and the tech support link to the manual for this board doesn't work so I cant get any information.

If anyone can help, I need to know if this board will support a 40GB HDD without using disk management software i.e. Ontrack or the like.

I think it will support the 40gig drive.

A little searching turned up someone who claims to be running a 30 gig drive.

When in doubt send an email to asus and ask them.
