anybody know if this will work?

My brother has a compaq laptop model 1200-325 that supports twin view (lcd and crt displays at the same time) but has no tv out. I was wondering if you could use a matrox g400 or g450 video out adapter, connected to the crt out on the laptop, to create a tv out. Would this work?

I think that would be keyed for the matrox card and it is more then likely not to work. Unless you video is powered by matrox. By ehy give it a try and let us know.
