Anybody know if DVD players will read VOB files off of CD's?

After you follow the guide start multiplexing it and then author it as a dvd. Do you know how to do this?

Umm... No. :D

I followed the guide (I thought).

It gave me the option of either de-multiplexing it or leaving the VOB files intact. Since I wanted everything as original, I just used IFOEdit to create IFO/etc. from the VOB.

I then burned all those files + the VOB into the VIDEO_TS directory.

AUDIO_TS was empty, & the CD was burned as UDF/ISO.

It just sat at the main menu, no errors or anything but it wouldn't play.

Oh well.

DVD burners are now approximately at the price point at which I purchased a CDRW (~$200), so I will likely buy a DVD burner soon.

Then all will be well.

Any update? I have a bunch of Dolby Digital 5.1 demos in VOB format that play fine in PowerDVD that I would like to play on my DVD player.

Ive actually been trying to some something similar.... but as far as DD 5.1 sound goes, I think its only avaliable in DVDr, so it defeats teh purpose of VCD/SVCD. Not sure if xvcd is any good, Ive moved to dvdr myself.

BTW trailers kickass in my new system.... The pics are very out of date on my webpage now. I guess Ill have to update them.
