Anybody know how to overclock RAM?

I read through one of Anand's older articles "133 Ram roundup" and in it, he overclocks the ram, and also changes the CAS from 3 to 2; But he doesn't say how he did it. Was there a utility that he used? Did he do it in his BIOS?
I checked-out my BIOS and saw settings like 2T, 3T RAS to CAS etc. Didn't know what it meant.

Any comments, opinions...?

You can overclock the RAM by decreasing the memory timings and reducing the CAS latency. You can also run your RAM at higher FSB speeds. For example, some people run their PC133 memory at 150MHz FSB.

So basically, if you reduce the numbers in your BIOS for memory timings you'll increase it's performance. The 2T or 3T represent the timing numbers, so you'd want to decrease them to the lowest numbers available.

What kind of RAM do you currently have? Infineon or Micron chips overclock much better than any 'Generic' brand name.

basically your ram runs the same speed as your fsb (thats not always the case, but most times)

so like peridium said, if you increase the fsb you increase your ram speed (ie. overclock)

actually I think there is other software that does it for you, but the BIOS are the built in way, (unless its not built into the BIOS, then u have to use jumpers).
