Just wondering if you had any tips or whatever before I venture out and spray hot oil into my eyes.

Umm, is it so different than any other car? And why are you changing your oil at midnight?

Step 1, wait until the oil cools down. :)

You mean, same way you change the oil in any 'minivan'. The venture is a minivan.

Is the oil filter mounted differently? Just like any vehicle, warm the car up, remove the drain plug and let the oil drain until it just occasionally drips, put the drain plug back on with a new copper washer, remove the oil filter, wipe the mating surface with a clean lint free rag, oil the oil filter gasket, put the oil filter on and turn it 3/4 after the gasket hits the surface, refill the engine.

I thought you removed the oil filter before you put the plug back in? You'll get more oil out that way, and more gunk...at least when I change my oil thats what I do. *shrug* Everyone's a little different.
