Anybody know anything about Temporary Insurance for visitng adults?

Well title says it all, a friends grandma is coming to town from outside the country and obviously she has no insurance, residance, social security # etc.

But at her age I think its not safe her being in America without any medical insurance, does that make sense? For example in developing countries going to the ER getting an EV admitted etc for a couple hours costs around 15-20 bucks in the states it is in the 1000's.

At her age, you may not be able to get medical insurance coverage quickly without a physical.
