Hi,
I have a custom built system that my boss had built for me and it came with a monitor labled Nobilis NobleView 1770A. I ran Sandra on this machine and it says that the company that made this thing is Lite-On. I had no idea that they made monitors.

Does anybody have any information on Lite-on monitors? The one that I have seems to do decent at 1024 x 768, but gets a little fuzzy and has flicker at 1280 x 1024. It's definitely a Shadow Mask and it's pretty flat, but not as flat as some of the newer Samsung's and FD Trinitron's. It seems like a decent monitor, but I'd like to know what to compare it to as far as a name brand if anyone has any information.

TIA,

Sal

Hmm, quite an opinion there. Would you kinly mind explaining that a bit?

I know they're not monitors, but I've used Lite-On CD-ROM drives with no problems whatsoever.

they all use "B" Tubes....are made in same factory as KDS...

ALL Lite-On products are below standard..even for low grade OEM stuff...

Hehe.. Thanks for the information. I don't really agree though. This thing certainly looks better than some of the cheap KDS monitors that I've seen in the stores. I would personally rate it along with something like a 753 Samsung as far as image quality. It's definitely better than the fuzzy 15" Compaq that I have.

Anyway.. Thanks for the information.

I have seen a lot of Lite-On monitors that were really crisp. I assumed they were rebadged. Can you provide a link showing they use 'sub standard' components?
