I'm trying to find one for my computer system... particularly my monitor. Does anybody know if this will work? Nady PCL815

I suppose i could go for a Smart UPS, but i don't need the battery backup... so i figured getting a line conditioner will be best. But i cant' find any that seems to be specific for computer systems.

Well, I don't know what sort of actual power quality that one would deliver, but you can get a quite powerful UPS for the same price or less that would protect your monitor just as well. And a UPS is always a good thing, why would you not need one (already got one?)?

Man, 1800W maximum load!

I suppose that one couldn't be a bad thing to have, give you perfect power and certainly can handle everything on your system, but it's sort of overkill.

Why does your monitor need that level of line conditioning? Sure it's nice, but if your power is that bad I'd expect you'd want backup power too, and a UPS does protect to some degree from bad power.

No, i don't need to worry about bad power.. in 5 years here, i've never had a blackout, brownout, or spike... at least nothing that i observed. We just have a lot of EMI because of our 10+ fridges and freezers, and that's not including all the security cameras and whatever else that gives out EMI. And the low cost UPS don't have line conditioning... only the Smart UPS and up have what they call 'line interactivity'... and starting costs for those are around $350USD.
