It looks like a really good frontend to the Xen virtual machine hypervisor. It would seem that this would be a lot more featurefull than the free VMWare Server and should have better performance (since it uses Xen).

Just wondering if anybody uses it or has had any personal experience with it. I might use it to replace VMWare Server on my home server, although I wish it touted better Ubuntu support.

edit: oops, just realized it's in beta and I couldn't even find a download link for the beta. So any personal experience is probably unlikely... I still think it looks mighty interesting though.

If you're planning on using Windows in Xen I'd do some performance tests first. It's been a while since I did any Xen reading but I remember reading about the paravirt drivers only being available with the commercial offering.

I'll keep that in mind. I don't think I'll ever need to install Windows. I never have on my current setup, but it would be nice to have that option if I ever decided I wanted to do some testing on a Windows install.
