Anybody know a program that can check the AGP & PCI frequency?

there is no such animal ~ youll need a PCI geiger counter

chances are someone somewhere already tested your board (?)....

P4B266, I know it should lock them with the Turbo 1/2 modes, but I think my board isn't doing so...

I just got a 2.4B SL6RZ that I know can do 3 GHz (Pastorjay-tested ;)), and it craps out at like 145FSB. Error is always related to my vid card drivers, so I think it's the AGP frequency that's too high since I've heard the 9700 was sensitive to this.

I know the board is old, it's just a temporary solution until 875 boards are available, but this is just awful. :p

the problem may be the lock itself.

we arent quite sure but we think turbo1 = 74/37 and turbo2 = 80/40.
both might be too high for a 9700.

try going straight to 167fsb (lock off) and maybe the 1/5 pci divider will kick in for 66/33?
or try jumper mode! ;) (im serious)

But if it was locked too high, it would crash no matter what FSB I use...

1/5 divider is a good idea, I'll try that. Don't know if there's such a thing on this board? :D

i have a 9700pro and my cpu freq is at 200mhz (xp2100+ and a7n8x dlx) but agp freq set to auto

whats up with that?
i didnt lock the agp to 66mhz, so im assuming its way out of spec at 200mhz freq for the cpu...

the 1/5 pci divider should kick in automaticly if it works (@ 166fsb turbo off)

if that doesnt work try jumper mode. (@ 166fsb turbo off)

(the 3:4 mem ratio trick only works from jumper mode anyways)

HTH :)
