I've got an economic project to do, and the teacher said to use the net as a resource to find information about two different countries, and compare them...

Anybody know any good online resources for this kind of thing?

Thanks,

Yep, I don't have a link handy at the moment, but the CIA has a huge database on just about every country in the world that's available to the public (certain parts only, of course). I'll see if I can dig it up. It's pretty neat, because it not only gives you some dry stats about population size, gdp, net production etc, it also gives you some analysis about the situation in that country, the historical background etc. Perhaps someone has the link handy??

Thanks tagej, you reminded me of that CIA site. I'm not sure of the link either. I remember my economics teacher was talking about that, he had the link up on the board. Guess I'd better check to see if I wrote it down anywhere.

Damn, I have to get up and walk around... sigh

I never really realized how rich the U.S. was.

<< GDP: purchasing power parity - $9.255 trillion (1999 est.) >>

<< The US economy continued its remarkable sustained prosperity, growing at 4.1% in 1999, and accounted for 23% of GWP. >>
