Please :)
Im trying to troubleshoot a lock up on my Epox 8kta-2 and AMD duron 750mhz during game play . It takjes about 5 minutes of game play to lock or websurfing then jumping into a game it locks as soon as the graphics start . Runs stable on the web using IE , have had no locks running internet software . Just locks on any game Ive tried . Thanks .

well it sounds like you have already narrowed it down to a 3d problem. Is the cpu overclocked?? do you have the newest drivers installed for the videocard?? bios??

Newest bios out from Epox , newest mobo drivers . The video card is a STB velocity 4400 , and it is a PCI card I carried over from my old PC . Im afraid the old card might be the bad part , but I hate buying a new AGP card only to have it still lock up . Im planning on a AGP card purchase but my STB is a 16 meg card so Id rather upgrade my CDRW than video at this time .... unless it's whats locking my PC .

I would think you have the problem figured in that pci video card. Also I am sure some of the AMD experts will tell you exactly what is the problem as I am no longer an expert on what problems there are with the t-birds and this particular motherboard/video cards etc.

Without a doubt Prime95. When you think everything is super stable, Prime95 has its ways of finding the slightest form of instability. With my super stable Athlon 1.2GHz at 1.266GHz with default voltage, I can run Prime95 constantly without problems. You can get Prime95 from here. I even got mine to loop back to the 1024K test, which takes about 12 hours. I took a pic of it here.
