Anybody in Toastmasters?

I'm not but there was a group where I used to work. The people who were in it were pretty enthusiastic about it.

no, but i knew of people at my work who are/were. might have just been a coincidence but the ones i knew were pretty bad speakers and writers.

maybe that's why they're there in the first place.

I participated in it when I was in middle school, as my mother was a member. I may be a generally shy person, but because of that practice I really improved my ability to speak/present in public.

If you are a college student DO IT!

I was not in it but have interviewed hundreds of studetns and those that have Toastmasters on their resume usally are able to speak more openly and carry on a conversation with less awkward pauses and ughhh's.
