anybody in San Diego - gotta question

I need to book a hotel for TONIGHT that is near the airport and near somewhere with some nightlife if possible - almost everything is booked - HELP!

Need some suggestions.......
 
good luck. comic-con will have pretty much anything in downtown booked up. try the u.s. grant or something a little more near little italy

try craigslist in the PB (pacific beach) area to see if anyone will allow you to stay over for a night or two, and then go to PB Bar and Grill, lol.

I'd probably allow you to sleep over, but, I already have a crapload of people coming over to my house for Comic Con weekend.
 
damn, didnt know that about the grant, sorry 'bout that. try and shoot for something in old town then. there's a few kinda run down motels, but the advantage is the trolley stops thru there and is a 7 minute ride to downtown.

Only thing I have found is the Manchester Grand Hyatt at 329 for a night

edit: "the w" is an upscale hotel with some bars and such (sandbar!). probably booked up though.
 
yeah, the "W" is a very expensive place, with a bar/sandy area at the top that usually is PACKED at nite, and it's pretty close to everything downtown.

if u like expensive ritzy clubs, go downtown. if u want casual bars, PB or Mission Beach are the place

thanks to all that tried to help - I gotta leave for the airport with no hotel booked - the wife and I may have to crash at the airport

last call is around 1:30-1:45. not to be telling tales out of school, but if you hang around the house of blues around last call time, you may get handed fliers and such for after-hours parties/events. they're pretty decent, a few i went to didnt have alcohol so its byob (7-11 is right around the corner from the hob)
