Anybody here with asperger's or on the autism spectrum?

I was wondering if we have any folks here with asperger's or other disorder on the autism spectrum.

Half the anti social kids on the internet claim to have asperger's just so they have an excuse for their lifestyle.

That said there are many for whom the condition is real.

I am not being sarcastic at all. I have a 22 yr old son with classic autism who is higher functioning in that he has a normal overall IQ
and he has speech. I was looking trying to find good resources to help him with learning social nuances and the self-help
skills he'll need for an independent life.

not me personally, but I have a strong suspicion my father in law has asperger's.

I have encountered children before who have been diagnosed and I am not sure which is worse a young person or a 62 year old man.

I work at an institution for people with autism, and similar mental disorders. Although I'm just with the maintenance crew, I see a lot of these people around. Many of them are very nice, others are unstable. Some are also savants in certain areas, although I don't know about your son. The man who runs the organization, who is also a friend of mine, has a son of similar age with the same problems. I really wish I could help, but I can't. All I can say is that it takes a lot of work to raise someone with that kind of disability, and I hope you can find the advice you need.
