Anybody here uses the Canon PowerShot A75?

I need help with picking the right settings for taking up close pictures. Everytime I try, the pictures come out pretty blurry and I've tried different settings and messing around to take up close pictures. Anybody have any luck with it?

I have a Canon A70 (pretty similar I'd think). I haven't had any problems. Make sure you have macro mode on (the little flower thing, or I think at least it looks like a flower).

Use macro, takes the right distance to get good focus, and you also need to have the right lighting.

Yes, click that and the little flower icon will show up in the lower right hand corner. It will then be in macro mode 🙂

What's the best setting for the those two numbers? I had it on 0"3 and F3.2

i use auto setting in macro.. works fine.

Sometimes it's better to hold it back a bit further, and zoom in on the subject for macros. Gives you more depth of field, and easier for the camera to focus. Looks like you can go back 18" maximum in macro mode:

• Macro AF: 5 - 46 cm (2.0 in. - 1.5 ft.) (W) / 26 - 46 cm (10 in. - 1.5 ft.) (T)

Make sure the AF frame color is green before pushing the shutter button beyond halfway!
