anybody here use a CF --> SD adapter?

Just curious. I might grab one if I come across it. Right now I have a Rebel XT and a Canon A80, both of which use CF. If I ever do get another P&S though, odds are it'll take SD cards - I don't think there are any more CF P&S cameras, and I don't care for XD cards.

I have two Canon EOS DSLRs with C/F cards, and a P&S (Canon S3) that uses SD. I have never had any reason or occasion to interchange the media. I have USB readers for both. C/F cards have greater bandwidth than SD, and are better suited to higher speed cameras. XD is Olympus proprietary media.

However, there are such adapters. Here's one:

Adapter

And another . . .

SD>CF

CF and regular SD media is so cheap that you might as well get a gig or two for the price of an adapter. MicroSD and xD (which Fuji also uses) is a little more expensive, but still nothing unmanageable...

CF cards are much bigger than SD cards so a CF card + adapter is never going to fit into a SD slot.

You got it backwards. Op asked if there were any adapters that would enable a SD to be used in a CF slot. The answer is yes.
