that might be the weirdest thing i've ever read. it's like a 45 minute drive. you'll probably be 3 hours door-to-door if you fly.

It's a 40 minute drive from Irvine to Alhambra without traffic. Probably will book a flight from John Wayne to LAX.

Driving from Long Island to southeast Michigan after work ends on Wednesday (5:00).
it's about ~675 miles, 11 - 12 hour drive if you stop only for gas and don't encounter too many delays. I'm hoping to get in about 4:30 am or so...then gotta hit grandma's with the fam for thanksgiving at 2:00.

Yeah, not looking forward to that. :(

That sounds pretty silly. why not just get on a bicycle and pedal your ass the 30 or 40 miles.

I've done that before on a thanksgiving. Drove down to Fullerton from San Jose. It wasn't pretty near the 405. You'll have to leave fairly early if you want to avoid traffic.

Taking the F to the LES. The family is getting really b1tchy with age, but maybe bringing something unique to the table will ease the tension. It seems more like an obligation recently then anything.

Anyone doing anything in NYC in the evening? I don't even want to bother with the other side of my family. The grandparents are renting to a drug dealer, grandpa just spent three weeks in Florida trying to cash a 20yr old check at a non-existant bank{then landed in the hospital}, & one of my uncles{44} stole close to 10k from their bank accounts(& he's still living with them, & one more uncle{42}).

I'm thirsty.

Driving home from school, can't wait to get some of moms home cooking. :)

Drive will take me about 4 hours, because I have to go over the Highway 20 Santiam pass. :(

I'm travelling about 5 miles to my parents house :)

I might drive an extra mile out of the way there and back to pick up my sister at her apartment building, unless she's coming with her fiance (I never know what they do... some years they eat thanksgiving dinner at both houses, and some years she eats with us and he eats with his family and that's it)

It'll be weird not having to come home from school during this time of year, now that I'm graduated.

Driving to the Houston area on Wednesday. Just under 700 miles to get there. Should be an interesting drive with the two Bassets.
