my 12 year old daughter does it from time time. she just came in here (my office) and asked "where did the horse go"? :disgust:

I just took her back to bed. when she does this i ask her in the morning about what she did or said and she has no memory of it.

I know there is no cure, and most kids grow out of it, but it worries me that she might actually go outside in the middle of the night when me or my wife isnt up to watch her.

You should have taken her to the bathroom and showered her in cold water. That would have bewildered her :p.

I used to when I was maybe 10 years old or so, once almost started knocking on the neighbor's door in the condominium. Parents said it happened when I was very tired...

What's a doctor going to be able to do? Give out an anti-sleepwalking pill?

i don't think there's a cure.

my gf said just leave it alone when it happens like having seizure.

What happens to children who sleepwalk?

Most children outgrow sleepwalking. If your child sleepwalks for a long time, talk to your doctor. Your doctor may want to look at the problem more closely. Some medicines can be used to treat sleepwalking.

I did when I was younger... once or twice that I know about. The infamous example was when my parents woke up to the smell of apple pie. I apparently decided to cook...

I do every once in a while...and I am 27, never started until i was around 20 or so and might only happen twice a year at most that i am aware of

Just this last year I went into the living room and asked my roommate what time he wanted to go to school the next day (we dont go to the same school) and he got confused and i repeated it saying i needed to know what time we were going to leave. He then tells me that we dont go to the same school. I proceed to walk in into his bedroom and tell his g/f that her b/f is being a dick, then i go back to bed

i had some memory of it, but would have assumed it was a dream if they didnt tell me

I don't sleepwalk but I do sleeptalk or at least I did. I don't know about now and no one to check it. As a kid there were several times when my parents would claim I would talk to them in my sleep with them when they were by my bed but I would never remember anything in the morning.

So what's a doctor going to do if there no cure then?

Ok, the website says talk to a doctor. It doesn't say what a doctor would do though aside from giving out medicine that might be able to cure it. Sounds like a waste of money to me.

I once walked into my roommates room while he and his g/f were sleeping and tried to take a piss in the corner...then they started making fun of me and i cursed them and kinda woke up (i wasnt really close to pissing...i unzipped my pants then kinda woke up and realized where i was)

another time my g/f at the time found me at the front door of her apartment at liek 4am and asked where i was going...again i think i got mad and went back to sleep...same g/f once saw me leaning over the end of the bed and asked what i was doing and i told her i dropped something important off the cliff and was looking to see if i could find it

these all like i said were over a span of 7 years so its not like i do it very often, and these are just about all the ones i remember

oh this one isnt sleepwalking, but is the best of them

it was like 4am and my g/f was awake studying, well i guess my eyes were opening since i heard something, but i wasnt really awake, so she came at me to give me a hug, well in my dream state i got scared sh&tless and did this amazing kick my legs so all my weight is on my back and the turn and roll/ push forward while kicking my legs out, landing the square in my g/fs chest right above her boobs sending her flying backwards...there is no way in hell i could ever do that while awake

I am not pumping her full of drugs. After reading dozens of websites they all have the same conclusion. there is no cure for it and the kids who do sleepwalk normally grow out of it.
