My wife and I are considering a new foam mattress with that memory foam. Anybody have that? Do you like it? How's your back?

I just bought a memory foam mattress of sorts.....I kinda put one together to save some money, but so far it has been awesome. I have slept on it for four knights now and it has made a huge difference in my sleep. I no longer toss and turn all night long and my back hasn't been sore in the morning for the frist time in years!!!!

If you have a back that is bothering you I would definitely suggest getting one of these.

Here is the thread that got me hooked on getting one of these: Super long thread. Waring it is about a year and half old and is really long, but worth the read if you are looking at getting one of these.

Here is my review after my first nights sleep and how I came to put the bed together: First night review.

I literally sleep without moving the whole night practically.....and I feel hundred times better in the moring, like I actually slept.

The downside with teh mattress pads I bought is that they were a pain to get opened up and setup. They come oversized slightly from where I bought them and it was a pain to cut them down to size a little better. It was only about 1" to big lenth wise and 2" to big across and I probably could have left it but it bugged me that it didn't line up with the mattress perfectly.

there are several threads on mattresses as well.

I strongly recommend www.mattresses.net. I and several of my friends have purchased from them and we have all had good experiences. they sell the LATEX mattress, very similar to the "Memory Foam" mattress but a long life expectancy. i sleep on one every night and they are unquestionably the best.

Megamorph another AT member also recently purchased one as well. pm him as well, he should have his by now.

busie, you had a good idea and the mattres toppers are nice.

it really depends on what you want. one word of warning my mattress (king size latex mattress) weighs about 200 lbs, so it's not an easy item to move around.

I slept on one in Canada and I hated it. Felt like I was laying on quicksand.

Yes, I spoke with the owner. Nice guy, who patiently answered all of my questions/concerns.

I almost bought a latex pillow but opted instead for a Mediflow pillow. It took some getting used to but I like it.

Someone else here bought a firm mattress and thought it was too firm. Getting a medium is probably a safer bet, but it's a matter of preference.
