Anybody here play Runescape?

I haven't played a MMORPG since Asheron's call. What is Runescape like, is it any good?

I guess a bunch of my son's classmates play it.

If its the web version, my little brother plays it...hes 12. Its just a little fantasy fighting game where you run around killing creatures to get money/items to make your character better. I think it costs 5$/month or something.

I play it now and then. I was introduced by a friend several states away so it was a way to chat and play a D&D type game without installing anything locally. As for the $5/month cost, that's only if you want to unlock all features to further develop your character, but you can play much of the game completely for free.

Certainly, there's lots better games out there, but it's simple and free so I've got no complaints. 🙂

Heh, my cousin plays it. (7th grader). I was thinking of giving him Diablo 2, but I think he'd get too addicted to that.
