Personally, I'd rather have it snow than this awful 34 degree F rain.

Yea...it sucks cuz everything is flooded out....and it freezing...but not freezing...stupid weather

My office building's roof is apparently made out of swiss cheese. We have buckets and cans everywhere catching drips.

:Q Yuck. I'm going to be driving my sister(who is blind) to class in a few moments since even tho we're on campus in our apartment I'm not letting her walk in this mess.

I'm just glad I'm not at my family's other house, which is just north of Grand Rapids as they look to be getting hammered over there.

Just later on is what scares me when it is supposed to drop below 32 degrees and alllllll this rain is suddenly ice. :Q

the local news is only predicting 1-2" here in west central Indiana. I hope they're right, though the wind is already blowing something fierce here.

WTF, it was 65 degrees here just a couple days ago!

No snow where I'm at in UP of Michigan but it's pretty windy which makes it cold as hell.

The highway by me is closed, nobody in my area has even dug their cars out from the snow, nor have the roads been plowed. The snow drifts are taller than my dogs. Methinks today would be a good day to order a pizza. >:) Though I suspect that everything is closed locally due to weather. Even the cop that lives near me isn't going to work today.

Living in Rolling Meadows, IL (NW burbs of Chicago).
My office closed for the first time ever due to weather. Nice.

Peoria, IL checking in.

We got f'd in the a'.

Woke up to about 1.5ft of snow covering the back deck. Had to shovel it out so the dog could do her bidness.

Then went around front and had over a 4' tall drift in front of the garage stalls. Dug that out.

Then came the fun part...drive the wifey to work! She works in a hospital that was seriously depleted in staff. A 15 minute drive was turned in to an hour. Even the freaking snow plows were stuck!

I just locked the Frontier into 4HI and took my sweet old time. Stopped a couple times to see if people needed rides. Saw a bunch of cars burried up to their windshields in snow. It was pretty rough out there.

I'm in the middle of MI and so far we've just got the slush. That's nice and slippery though. We're supposed to have 8-10in by tonight.

This is one of the worst snow storms that I've seen. It's a pretty light & powdery snow and the wind is gusting over 30 MPH out there. The drifting is really, really bad. As soon as you plow or shovel, it just covers right back up again.

At the intersections it was piled up over 2 feet deep. Side streets are completely blocked and people are snowed into their own driveways.

Around here it's common to get 8" or even up to a foot of snow, but with the rampant drifting we are looking at several feet of it.

Plus with the whiteout conditions it was really difficult to even tell how deep it really was until you hit it.

oh man it was bad.

we are in Esmond IL (just south of rockford about 18 miles). we have roughly 1.5 ft of snow. with some huge drifts all over.

My wife is going ot have to stay home. NO way are we going to get the car out of the garage. not to mention the roads have yet to be plowed (one of the bit negitives living in the country).

glad we did a LOT of shopping (we have at least 2 weeks worht of food/water and beer!). looks like we are stuck here for a while.

I'm in downtown Chicago and there is a only about an inch or two of snow here. Sounds like everyone else around me got hammered pretty hard though.
