HELP!!!

I'm in the middle of drying our clothes when I noticed its not producing hot air. I check the vent to make sure there's a good circulation of air (removed lint, etc.), but didn't do any good. Checked the manual (its an electric dryer) but it doesn't suggest any other possible solution except the one I just did.

Its an Amana clothes dryer. When I opened that back of it, I didn't see any fuse (or maybe I didn't notice it). Anybody here has a suggestion? TIA!!!

Ours did the same thing, except it blew a fuse in the fusebox. Our dryer runs through a couple of different ones I think, one for heat, one for the motor. We replaced it, had heat again. It's recommended that you dry less in a load at a time if it happens a few times to you in short succession.

You could try a different setting, too. Our dryer back home wouldn't get hot on the highest setting, but it would work on the medium setting.

Its not. IT still tumbles but just cool air. If thats the case, where can I find it (what it looks like)?

Did that also, but no change. In fact, that was my second guess. I thought it was a loose connection on the setting.

Could be the element, or a thermostat (likely has 2 or 3 counting thermal fuse and cutoff). You need to check the fuses first. If a fuse is burnt or tripped it's a $2 or free repair job. If you can see the element and it looks broken then you need another one.

Have you tried finding a schematic or parts breakdown for it? If you don't have a clue how to fix it call a tech.

Either the element burned out or a fuse blew.

If you're somewhat proficient at electronics, there should be a schematic on the back panel. Go from there.
