If so,

What company are you using?
What are the prices?

I'm thinking of getting IDSL from Bazillion for $49.95/mon with 400 free min of long distance. Is that worth $30 more than my 28K dialup connection? Thx.

Don't forget to add in the cost of a second phone line - if you have one.

No, I don't have IDSL, but until @Home came along with a cable modem connection to my neighborhood, I was on the waiting list to get it. I was using Northpoint/PheonixDSL - they had a pretty good deal when I signed up. I seem to think it was $40/month but I can't find this deal now - besides PhoenixDSL may not be in your area.

IDSL is always on. The bandwidth is approximately 5x what you are currently getting, for about 2x the cost. Whether or not this is worth it depends on how much you really want a faster internet connection. In my case, I was paying $20/month for an ISP and then $20 for a second line, plus my wife was doing most of her work telecommuting on the connection (tax deduction), so it was an easy choice for me to pay ~$10 more per month for 5x the bandwidth.

I am on phoenixDSL(via northpoint) IDSL at home. 144/144(i get about 17k/sec upload and download). Considering my dialup was limited to 28.8 speeds, IDSL is a huge improvement.

I am paying $40 a month for it.
